Borussia Dortmund’s Robert Lewandowski has refused to rule out signing a new deal with Juergen Klopp’s side.
The Poland international is under contract with the German champions until 2014, but with Lewandowski having already rejected an offer from Dortmund, there is mounting speculation that he wants a better contract.
German newspaper Bild has suggested Lewandowski is holding out for a new five-million-euro deal.
Despite appearing likely to leave, the 24-year-old said he is still looking to come to an arrangement at the Westfalenstadion.
“I will just focus on the BVB. My contract runs for two years,” Lewandowski said.
“We will see what happens by then. I’m in no hurry. My agent and I are more in talks with Borussia.”
The striker, who scored the winner in Dortmund’s 1-0 win over Ajax in the Champions League, is apparently holding out for a deal which would put him on a par with team-mates Marco Reus and Mario Gotze, but has only been reportedly offered a 3.3m-euro wage.
Lewandowski has been linked with Europe’s elite sides and he is happy to be talked about in relation to such prestigious clubs.
“Of course it’s nice that I am in focus internationally,” he said.
