Speaking briefly to Polskie Radio after Bayern Munich 6-2 demolition of Bayer Leverkusen, Robert Lewandowski said that he’s not thinking about Real Madrid at the moment, at least not in terms of a transfer there.
Bayern and Real are set to do battle in the Champions League semi-final in a few days, and Lewandowski is looking forward to it. He expressed a sound stance that a team wanting to win the Champions League needs to be prepared to take on and beat the best, and he hopes that’s what his Bayern will do over the two legs of the competition’s semi-final against the 12-time winners.
On the other hand, the former Borussia Dortmund striker also refuses to talk about the incoming manager Niko Kovač. He says the focus is now on the business end of this season under Jupp Heyckess and he’s not prepared to look further than that.
Bayern have already been confirmed as the winners of the Bundesliga, so the Champions League is the absolute priority now.
