Robert Lewandowski will not be leaving Bayern Munich this summer, CEO Oliver Kahn insists amid rumours of interest in his services from Barcelona.
The Catalan club have already approached the representatives of the Polish striker. However, they are yet to speak to Bayern on the subject, even though Lewandowski is believed to be open to the idea of a move to the Camp Nou. They would have to make contact with the Bundesliga champions sooner or later if they intend to make a move this summer, given that Lewandowski’s contract does not expire before the end of June 2023.
But as Kahn told Prime Video, Lewandowski will remain at the Allianz Arena for the 2022-23 season, regardless of the outcome of the new contract talks.
Meanwhile, Kahn also said that the talks with Thomas Muller over a new deal are progressing well, and that deals for the Ajax duo of Ryan Gravenberch and Noussair Mazraoui are close.
