Spanish super club Real Madrid are having a difficult season, especially in La Liga, and it looks as if their stacked squad is starting to look a little shaky and aged. It is perhaps little surprise then that manager Zinedine Zidane is already in the market for a star to freshen things up, and Robert Lewandowski is the man he wants, according to the Independent.
Los Blancos currently sit third in the table, a whopping 14 points behind their eternal rivals Barcelona, and both Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale have been struggling this season through form and injury respectively.
Lewandowski meanwhile has registered an impressive 20 goals in 23 Bundesliga appearances for Bayern Munich during this campaign, furthering his reputation as one of the top marksmen in European football.
According to reports Real have only turned to the Polish striker due to the difficulties they encountered trying to negotiate with Tottenham over a price for Harry Kane, but Lewandowski would likely be a huge success in the Spanish capital regardless.
