Thomas Muller insists Bayern Munich will not lack for motivation over the closing weekend of the Bundesliga season.
Bayern sealed a fifth consecutive top flight title with three matches to spare when they thrashed Wolfsburg 6-0 at the weekend, with Muller on target.
However, Carlo Ancelotti’s men were dumped out in the quarter-finals of the Champions League by Real Madrid and suffered semi-final heartache against Borussia Dortmund in the DFB-Pokal last week.
Despite effectively having nothing else at stake, Muller insists performing with the pressure off and aiming for goals such as securing the Bundesliga top-scorers’ berth for Robert Lewandowski will keep the champions at a high level.
“There will be no motivation problems,” he told a news conference ahead of Darmstadt’s visit to the Allianz Arena. “We want to have fun again.
“We have two home games so we want to something for the fans and offer a good show.
“We will do our best to help Lewy win the top Bundesliga goalscorer crown over the final three games.”
