Competition: Championship
Market: Aston Villa to beat Middlesbrough
Odds: 21/10 @ Bet365
It is all to play for in Tuesdays Championship play-off second leg as both Aston Villa and Middlesbrough battle it out for a spot at Wembley later this month.
Arguably the biggest club in the Championship this year, Villa know that half the job is done after they picked up an impressive 1-0 win away to Middlesbrough on Saturday night. Now with just one defeat in their last six and also only one home defeat in 2018, one man to watch could be Villa forward Lewis Grabban. After an impressive start to the year at Sunderland, the on-loan Bournemouth forward now has 20 goals to his name this season and has continued to shine at Villa Park. Grabban now has four in his last five and also has four in his last six matches at Villa Park.
As for Tony Pulis’ Middlesbrough side, although the former Stoke and West Brom boss has done a stellar job to guide Boro to the play-off’s, The Reds have history against them on Tuesday night. In the last 30 years, since the start of the play-off system, no team has managed to turn around a first leg deficit after losing at home. Coming off the back of their 1-0 loss to The Villans over the weekend, Boro have now kept just a single clean sheet in their last six and their form away from the Riverside Stadium will be another concern. Boro have now won just one of their last five on the road and have famously dropped points against the likes of relegated Sunderland and Buron and Barnsley on their travels this season.
Bet: Lewis Grabban 21/10 to score anytime against Middlesbrough on Tuesday night 21/10 @ Bet365>>
