Copa Libertadores action continued on Wednesday with victories for San Lorenzo and Libertad, while Lanus were held to a draw by Chivas.
The match between Argentinian side CA Lanus and Mexican outfit Chivas de Guadalajara was underway for 34 minutes when Sergio Avila scored the opening goal for the away side. However, Jose Sand equalised three minutes into added time to earn Lanus a point.
Another Argentinian side, San Lorenzo, was much more successful against another Mexican team, San Luis.
Nestor Silvera put the hosts ahead in the third minute and added another 14 minutes later. Gonzalo Bergessio made it 3-0 on 33 minutes and Pablo Barrientos netted the fourth and final home goal shortly after the break. Victor Lojero got one back for the Mexicans in the 71st minute.
Libertad of Paraguay took a 1-0 lead versus Universitario Lima (Peru) through Manuel Maciel on 42 minutes, but former Premiership striker Norberto Solando equalised in the 62nd. The hosts did win though, as Adalberto Roman scored the decider with seven minutes to play.
