(GSM) – Sao Paulo are through to the quarter finals of the Copa Libertadores, beating Peruvian side Universitario on penalties.

No goals had been scored in the first leg and the second leg, played at Morumbi stadium in Sao Paulo, ended exactly the same way.

Penalties were needed to decide the tie. The Brazilians did a better job dealing with the pressure and won the shootout 3-1.

In the quarter finals, Sao Paulo face the winner of the clash between Cruzeiro and Uruguay’s Nacional.
