Olhanense shattered Portimonense’s hopes of a third Liga Sagres win by scoring a late equaliser to earn a 1-1 draw on Saturday.
Cape Verde international Lito put the hosts ahead in the 31st minute at the Estadio do Portimonense, and the league’s bottom side were seemingly headed for a rare victory before the referee awarded the visitors a late penalty.
Brazilian striker Djalmir made no mistake from the spot, earning a point for Dauto Faquira’s Olhanense to keep them in seventh place in the league.
A win would have seen Portimonense climb off bottom. Instead, the point leaves them two points from second-last Naval 1 de Maio.
