Pacos de Ferreira’s winning run was halted by Naval de Maio in Liga Sagres on Monday, while Nacional were held by lowly Portimonense.

Pacos welcomed Naval to the Estadio da Mata Real looking to keep their four-match winning streak intact, but the hosts were forced to settle for a point after fighting out a 0-0 draw.

The halt in momentum sees Pacos remain fourth on the Portuguese table, three points away from third-placed Sporting Lisbon but a massive 18 points behind Benfica in second.

Naval remain second bottom on the table, four points adrift of escaping the drop zone.

Elsewhere, bottom-placed Portimonense stole a point with a 1-1 draw at home to Nacional.

Substitute striker Pedro Moreira was the hero for the hosts with an 89th-minute equaliser, cancelling out Croatian midfielder Dejan Skolnik’s 55th-minute strike.

Both sides finished with 10 men after Nacional midfielder Ivan Todorovich received his second yellow card on 65 minutes, while Portimonense went a man down when former Sporting Lisbon defender Pedro Silva also saw red in the 88th minute.
