Caen keeper Alexis Thebaux revealed that he had been approached by Paris Saint-Germain.
The Saints are looking to sign another keeper and provide competition for Nicolas Douchez and they have set their sights on Caen shot-stopper Alexis Thebaux.
The French giants have contacted the promising keeper, but Caen president Jean-Francois Fortin is not happy with their offer.
“Alexis gave me a proposal that does not suit me. I made him a counter proposal, I expect the answer,” Fortin told L’Equipe.
The 26-year-old keeper has admitted he is tempted by the prospect of joining Paris Saint-Germain.
“I do not close any doors. But, it is true that PSG are very interested,” Thebaux told L’Equipe.
“It is a great club and an exciting challenge. I have matured and have a big room for improvement.”
Thebaux has established himself as an integral part of the Caen squad over the last two years, having amassed 73 league appearances during the last two seasons.
