Montpellier midfielder Younes Belhanda admits that he could leave the club at the end of the season.
The Moroccan midfielder recently returned to the club after the disappointing exit of his national team from the Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.
The 21-year-old was probably the only shining star in Eric Gerets’ squad, and he started all three games at the final tournament, scoring one goal in the process.
The highly rated midfielder is being tipped to leave Montpellier for a bigger club in the summer and he admits such a scenario is possible.
“This is an issue that could arise, but I am someone who lives in the present,” Belhanda told L’Equipe.
“If something happens late in the season, I will discuss it will my agent and the club. What is important for me is that Montpellier are satisfied.”
The player says that English Premier League and German Bundesliga are attractive to him.
“Personally, I like England and Germany, but the major European clubs, they are everywhere.
”Is Paris a possibility? Yes, it is.”
Belhanda started his professional career at Montpellier and has since featured in 87 Ligue 1 games for MHSC, scoring 9 goals in the process.
The Moroccan has been especially impressive this season, having scored 5 goals in 18 league games.
