Reims midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak has added fuel to speculations linking him with a summer switch to Fiorentina.
The Italian giants hope to beat off competition from Arsenal, Liverpool and Lyon for the player’s signature and add him to their ranks this summer.
Viola boss Vincenzo Montella aims to add some fresh blood to his midfield area and he seems to believe the Pole is the right man for the job.
With his contract running until June 2015, the 24-year-old is almost certain to leave Reims this summer and he admits he is flattered by the Fiorentina interest.
“Fiorentina? It is a very important club, ranked in fourth place last season and will again play in Europa League,” Krychowiak was quoted as saying in Il Corriere dello Sport.
“For me, getting to be a protagonist at the European powerhouse would be a dream.”
Krychowiak has spent his entire professional career in France, playing for Bordeaux, Nantes and Reims, and he has developed into one of league’s top midfielders of late.
The Poland international has made a total of 70 league appearances since he was signed on permanent basis by Reims, scoring 8 goals.
