Lille reclaimed top spot on the Ligue 1 table with a thrilling 2-1 win at Marseille on Sunday, while Lyon thrashed Arles 5-0.

Lille, who fell to second after Stade Rennes felled Montpellier 1-0 on Saturday, got an injury-time goal out of substitute Pierre-Alain Frau to topple Marseille and send the French champions to fourth.

Eden Hazard put the visitors ahead with an absolute pearler in the 10th minute, the Belgian international curling a wicked left-footed shot from distance that Marseille goalkeeper Steve Mandanda could only get his fingertips to.

But Loic Remy fired an equaliser on the hour, picking out the bottom-right corner with a low strike after collecting Mathieu Debuchy’s headed clearance at the top of the area.

The top-of-the-table sides looked destined to share the spoils as time ticked down, but the introduction of Frau in the 84th minute proved a masterstroke as the veteran striker redirected Emerson’s cross beyond Mandanda in the first minute of injury time.

Elsewhere, Lyon replaced Marseille in third with a clinical display against bottom-placed Arles.

Lisandro Lopez returned from a three-game injury absence to grab a hat-trick for the hosts, while Miralem Pjanic and substitute Michel Bastos also got on the scoresheet.

Finally, Bordeaux rose to seventh on the table with a deserved 3-1 win at Brest.

Both sides went into the break without a goal, but it took just three second-half minutes for Bordeaux striker Wendel to find the net with a beautifully struck free-kick.

The visitors doubled their lead in the 67th minute on a one-two between Anthony Modeste and Jaroslav Plasil, the latter finishing past Brest goalkeeper Steeve Elana, before Brest pulled one back Brahim Ferradj three minutes from injury time.

But substitute Cheick Diabate put paid to any thoughts of a draw by notching his first-ever goal in the top-flight in the dying stages.
