Paris Saint-Germain moved five points clear at the top of Ligue 1 with a 2-1 win at Ajaccio on Saturday.

Laurent Blanc’s men went into the game knowing a win would put them in control of the title race following Monaco’s 1-1 draw at Montpellier on Friday, but the defending champions fell behind inside six minutes as Brazilian striker Eduardo opened the scoring.

PSG levelled four minutes before the break when Ezequiel Lavezzi finished off a sweeping move involving Blaise Matuidi and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

And the turnaround was completed after 74 minutes when Matuidi found the net with a diving header after Ibrahimovic had knocked Javier Pastore’s cross back across goal.

Bordeaux’s strong run of form came to an end as Francis Gillot’s men suffered a 1-0 home defeat to rivals Toulouse in the Garonne derby.

Both teams were reduced to 10 men in the first half, Toulouse defender Uros Spajic seeing red after 24 minutes and Bordeaux full-back Maxime Poundje following suit 10 minutes later.

The hosts were looking to extend their unbeaten league run to seven games, but Danish striker Martin Braithwaite struck eight minutes into the second half to secure victory for Toulouse.

Lyon have now gone five league games without defeat following a 2-0 win over struggling Sochaux.

Second-half goals from midfielders Clement Grenier and Yoann Gourcuff secured the points for Remi Garde’s men.

Valenciennes are just a point adrift of safety after withstanding a late rally from Bastia to win 3-2.

A first-half double from winger Mathieu Dossevi and an Abdul Waris strike put Valenciennes in command and, although Christian Romaric and Ilan pulled goals back for the Corsicans, the Stade du Hainaut hosts clung on to claim the spoils.

Elsewhere, Guingamp and Saint-Etienne drew 0-0, while Rennes and Nice both missed penalties in another goalless draw.
