Lille agree deal for Serbian striker
Ligue 1 giants Lille are set to complete the signing of Serbian forward Petar Skuletic from Partizan Belgrade, according to Sportski Zurnal.
It is no secret les Dogues are on the lookout for a proven goalscorer having largely struggled up front this season.
According to Serbian daily newspaper Sportski Zurnal, Lille have all but agreed a €2.5 million deal for Petar Skuletic.
The 24-year-old has moved to confirm that he is set to sign for the French giants after completing his medical.
“Having received permission from Partizan I travelled to Lille, passed a medical and agreed personal terms with the French side,” Skuletic told Sportski Zurnal.
This is enough to suggest that the two sides have already reached an agreement allowing the highly rated forward to sign for les Dogues at the start of the January window.
Petar Skuletic, who joined Partizan from league rivals Vojvodina, has bagged impressive 21 goals in 27 competitive outings this season.
Ben Arfa in high demand
Newcastle winger Hatem Ben Arfa is on the radar of several top European sides, L’Equipe can reveal.
The Frenchman is almost certain to be moving clubs this January seeing that neither Steve Bruce not Alan Pardew want him in their respective sides.
And with the player’s deal at St James’ Park due to expire at the end of the season, he should be available on a cut-price deal in January.
Ligue 1 side Nice were the first club to make a concrete move, but it would appear as though Ben Arfa is well out of their price range.
Bundesliga outfit Hamburg appear to be the only interested team ready to match his €3 million yearly wage, while Monaco, Lille and an unnamed Spanish side are in the mix as well.
Ben Arfa will not be in contention when Hull City take on Sunderland later today, with the Tigers 10/3 to win at the Stadium of Light.
Racing reveal Lisandro set to return
Racing de Avellaneda has moved to reveal that Al Gharafa striker Lisandro Lopez will be back at Estadio Juan Domingo Peron in the summer.
The 31-year-old began his career with La Academia, scoring 26 goals in 70 league matches before joining FC Porto.
Lisandro enjoyed the best years of his career at Lyon, spending four years at Stade Gerland and bagging 59 league goals.
The Argentine forward has spent last year and a half at Al Gharafa, but Racing de Avellaneda vice-president Miguel Jimenez has moved to suggest that Lisandro will return to where it all started for him in the summer.
“It will not happen now, but in June. “Licha” will return to Racing,” Jimenez confessed to Ole.
The experienced striker has done fairly well at Al Gharafa, netting 13 times in 38 league appearances.
