Lille boss reveals new striker wanted

Lille coach Rudi Garcia has revealed that the club are looking to recruit a new striker in January.

Les Dogues want to compensate for forward Moussa Sow, who is set to join Senegal squad for African Cup of Nations.

“The desire remains the same, to recruit a striker,” Rudi Garcia told reporters after the 6:0 Cup win over Chantilly.

“Moussa Sow is at AFCON and Tulio de Melo has been injured for a while now. We need attacking forces and, therefore, need to sign a new recruit. We’ll see our opportunities, we are working on it.”

Garcia also revealed that Ludovic Obraniak could leave the club in January.

“And, there is demand for Ludo to leave. But, things are clear, team and team performances are the priority.”
