Lille closing in on France international

Lille have had their bid for striker Kevin Gamiero accepted by Lorient, according to Le Parisien.

The France international was made available for sale by Lorient but he has already rejected a move to Bordeaux as he was waiting for Valencia to make an offer.

Nonetheless, with Valencia failing to meet Lorient’s valuation of the player, the 23-year-old could opt to join high-flying Lille instead.

Les Doges, who are currently leading the race in Ligue 1, have reportedly had their bid accepted and they are expected to agree personal terms with the player in the next few days.

Lille currently boast the best attacking trio in Ligue 1, but with Gervinho and Hazard attracting a lot of interest with their performances, les Dogues are eager to add another forward to their ranks, just in case they receive an offer they can’t refuse for one of their strikers.
