France Football has learned that Lille are readying a big money bid for Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi.
Les Gones recently started an ambitious project with former Marseille boss Marcelo Bielsa, and they have already spent around €45 million on new players.
However, following the poor start to the season, it would appear as though les Dogues are now in the market for a high-profile centre forward.
According to France Football, Lille are prepared to offer €40 million for Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi, which is slightly more than what the Blues paid for his services a year ago.
The 23-year-old has since showed plenty of potential, but only managed two Premier League starts and another 20 substitute appearances, albeit scoring 5 goals in the process.
However, with Diego Costa now out of the picture, Antonio Conte may be reluctant to let Batshuayi leave, unless he signs another striker in the coming days.
