French daily newspaper L’Equipe understands that Lille are set to make a move on Lorient forward Jordan Ayew.
The 2015 Africa Cup of Nations winner Herve Renard is set to take over the reigns from Rene Girard and he has made signing the former Marseille starlet his transfer priority.
The talented coach worked with Ayew at Sochaux and he is now keen to get reunited with him at LOSC Lille.
The 23-year-old decided to quit Marseille and join Lorient last summer following a successful loan spell with les Lionceaux and he has since largely impressed at Le Moustoir.
Ayew scored 12 goals and set up another 5 in 30 league appearances to help les Merlus secure Ligue 1 survival.
The highly rated forward is now being linked with a summer move to Lille and while Lorient are not too keen on letting him go, they may decide to sell the player and turn a nice profit having paid just €4 million for his services a year ago.
