Lille keen on Remy Cabella
French daily L’Equipe understands that Lille are weighing up a summer move for Montpellier hotshot Remy Cabella.
Les Dogues look set to stay without star midfielder Dimitry Payet in the summer, with the Frenchman on the radar of several top European clubs.
They are, therefore, looking to sign a replacement, and Montpellier star Remy Cabella appears to be at the top of their hit-list.
Cabella, 23, has exploded onto the biggest stage this season, scoring 7 goals and producing 6 assists in 27 Ligue 1 appearances.
Lille, however, face a real battle to lure the talented footballer to Grand Stade Lille Metropole, with Montpellier not willing to listen to offers for Cabella.
“Cabella remains! We cannot afford to lose both Cabella and Belhanda,” Montpellier president Louis Nicollin said to Canal +.
This basically means that Younes Belhanda is set to leave, with Arsenal and Tottenham reportedly leading the race for his signature.
Ibarbo drops Napoli hint
Cagliari forward Victor Ibarbo has suggested that he would like to join Napoli in the future.
The highly rated footballer has earned rave reviews for his displays this season and he was recently linked with Inter and Napoli.
Speaking after his side were beaten 3-2 by the Azzurri, Ibarbo hinted that a switch to Stadio San Paolo could be on the cards.
“One day I’d like to play here with my countrymen (Juan) Zuniga and (Pablo) Armero,” the Colombian told Radio Marte.
Napoli are in the market for attacking reinforcements given that star striker Edinson Cavani looks set to leave at the end of the current campaign.
Victor Ibarbo is one of the players they are looking at, and he seems to be a much cheaper alternative to some of their other targets.
The 22-year-old has made 29 Serie A appearances for Cagliari this season, scoring his fifth goal of the season in the aforementioned 3-2 defeat at Stadio San Paolo.
Everton linked to Juan Carlos
Spanish daily Estadio Deportivo is reporting that Everton are lining up a move for Sporting Braga winger Juan Carlos.
The 23-year-old is currently on loan at Real Betis and it appears that he won’t be coming back to Portugal.
Juan Carlos has been the subject of interest from abroad, with Everton rumoured to be leading the chase for his signature.
The talented footballer came through the youth ranks at Santiago Bernabeu, and he was handed a first team debut during the 2010/2011 season.
That proved to be his first and last competitive appearance for los Blancos, with the player joining Sporting Braga in the summer of 2011.
The former Spain Under-21 international has been showing plenty of promise during loan spells at Real Zaragoza and Real Betis, making a total of 45 La Liga appearances in the process.
