Lille pondering Erding bid

French Ligue 1 champions Lille are readying bid for Paris Saint-Germain striker Mevlut Erding, according to L’Equipe.

Les Dogues are looking to reinforce the squad as they prepare for the new season and they have singled out the Turkish striker as their number one target.

LOSC have already brought Marko Basa, Benoit Pedretti Laurent Bonnart and Dimitri Payet to compensate for the departures of Adil Rami, Yohan Cabaye, Emerson and Gervinho, but they are now keen to add one more forward to the squad.

Erding’s starting place at Parc des Princes could be in danger should the free-spending Saints sign another striker and he could welcome the chance to join one of the most talented sides in France.

Les Dogues are also tracking Monaco striker Park Chu-Young, but they face a stiff competition from Schalke for the player’s signature.
