Lille reject Liverpool offer for Leny Yoro

According to Mundo Deportivo, Liverpool have had an offer of €50 million for Leny Yoro rejected by LOSC Lille.

The Merseysiders need a new centre-back to replace Joel Matip, who will officially leave the club at the end of the month as a free agent. They appear to have identified Yoro as a prime candidate for the role, but their pursuit of the 18-year-old defender doesn’t seem to be going well.

Lille are believed to have rejected Liverpool’s offer because they want at least €60m for Yoro’s services, but that’s not the only problem. They face competition from Real Madrid, and the teenager is said to be favouring a move to the Santiago Bernabeu ahead of all other options. Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain reportedly hold an interest as well.

Real, on the other hand, have no intention of meeting Lille’s valuation of the player and are yet to take any concrete steps to sign him.
