Ligue 1 giants Lille are on the verge of signing French winger Jimmy Cabot from Troyes, according to L’Equipe.
Les Dogues have reportedly agreed a €1.3 million deal with their league rivals, although they are expected to loan the youngster back to Troyes until the end of the season.
Cabot could prove to be a good long-term replacement for Sofiane Boufal, who is widely tipped to join Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the season.
The 21-year-old has spent his entire career up to date at Troyes, making a total of 53 league appearances for the club.
Despite starting just one game as the club secured promotion to the elite division last term, Cabot has been in very good form this season, scoring 3 goals in 15 Ligue 1 appearances.
He is now set for a new challenge, but not before he tries and help Troyes avoid another relegation to the second division.
