Daily Mirror has suggested that Manchester United goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard is set to leave Old Trafford at the end of the season.
The latest reports state that Sir Alex Ferguson is preparing a bid for Stoke shot-stopper Asmir Begovic, and the fact the Potters have already signed a replacement for the Bosnian is enough to suggest that the deal is on the horizon.
Given that United are highly unlikely to let David De Gea leave the club despite the heavy criticism from the media, it is clear that Anders Lindegaard will be the one to go.
England Under-21 keeper Ben Amos, who has just returned from a loan spell at Hull City, will remain as a third-choice keeper.
Lindegaard, 28, enjoyed a bright start to his career at Old Trafford and at one stage it looked as though he might be able to move in front of David De Gea in the pecking order, but numerous injury problems prevented the Dane from realizing his full potential.
Since arriving at the club from Aalesund, the Denmark international has made a total of 16 Premier League appearances.
