(GSM) – Italy boss Marcello Lippi insists he yet to decide concerning his future after this summer’s World Cup.
It is widely believed that the World Cup winning coach will step down from his position with the national side after the football mega-event ends with numerous high-profile roles across Serie A reported to be waiting to replace him.
The Italian Football Federation (FIGC) are keen for the matter to be resolved before they head for South Africa, but they remain in the dark for now.
Lippi, who led the Azzurri to global glory in 2006, is playing his cards close to his chest and has revealed that he will continue to do so while he prepares his troops for the defence of their crown.
“I have not said that I’ll leave yet,” he told Sky Italia.
“I have not said what I will do after the World Cup.
“We are still three months away from the World Cup at the moment and I am focused on doing my job. Once everything is sorted, then we will talk about the future.”
