Lyon forward Lisandro Lopez could be returning to Porto in the summer, according to French newspaper Le Progres.
The Argentine forward has become disillusioned with life at Stade Gerland and he is hoping to leave the club in the summer transfer window.
Lopez recently admitted that he planned to finish his playing career in Argentina, but there is every chance he will join another European club before returning home.
According to Le Progres, FC Porto have expressed interest in signing the 30-year-old striker.
The Dragons could easily stay without Jackson Martinez ahead of the 2013/2014 season and they could really use an experienced striker for the new season.
Seeing as how the Argentine has just one year left on his deal at Stade Gerland, he should be available at a cut-price deal, but his €4 million yearly wage could prove to be a problem.
Nevertheless, he is expected to follow Lucho Gonzalez’s example and accept a pay cut in order to return to Estadio do Dragao.
