Former Lyon striker Lisandro Lopez has penned a short-term contract with Internacional, the Brazilian side have announced.
The Argentine forward was a free agent after having his deal with Al Gharafa rescinded and he in turn signed a four-month contract with the Brazilian giants.
The deal also contains an option for a two-year extension that can be triggered at any time in case all the parties agree.
Former Al Gharafa coach Diego Aguirre, who had taken over the reigns at Internacional, played a crucial role in bringing the experienced forward to Brazil.
Lisandro Lopez made a name for himself at Lyon, scoring no less than 59 goals in 119 Ligue 1 outings, but he did not get to win the league title during his time at Stade Gerland.
The 31-year-old surprised everyone when he decided to leave les Gones and join Al Gharafa, where he went on to make 40 league appearances, scoring 13 goals in the process.
