Lisandro Lopez on Rubin radar

Russian daily Izvestia understands that Rubin Kazan are weighing up move for Lyon star Lisandro Lopez.

Rubin boss Kurban Berdyev is eager to add another high-profile striker to the squad in the summer and he has reportedly made the Argentine forward his number one target.

According to Izvestia, the Russian club have already contacted the player’s employers, who appear ready to sell if the price is right.

Lisandro Lopez has a contract until June 2014 at Stade Gerland and is believed to be looking for a new challenge, although it remains to be seen whether he would be interested in a move to Russia.

The 30-year-old has spent last four seasons at Lyon, netting 57 times in 113 Ligue 1 appearances for les Gones.

With the player set to enter the final year of his deal at Stade Gerland, he is likely to be available at a cut-back fee in the summer transfer window.
