L’Equipe has learned that Argentine attacker Lisandro Lopez is hoping to leave Lyon in the summer transfer window.
The highly rated forward seems to have become disillusioned with life at Stade Gerland and he reportedly wants out this summer.
A return to South America is on the cards, with his former club Racing Club de Avellaneda determined to add him to their ranks.
Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas remains adamant that the player is not for sale despite his contract running out at the end of the season, but les Gones could ultimately decide to part ways with their prized asset due to his €3.6 million yearly wage.
Lisandro Lopez has spent last four years at Lyon, having joined the club in a €24 million deal from FC Porto.
He has scored a total of 59 goals in 119 Ligue 1 matches for les Gones, but has failed to lift the league title at Stade Gerland.
