Liverpool host Manchester City at Anfield in the Premier League tonight, and are favourites to pick up all three points to cut the deficit to leaders Chelsea to six points. Liverpool are unbeaten on home soil in the league this season and face a Man City side who have come unstuck against the elite sides.
Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool side are second in the Premier League table with 40 points from 18 games this season, coming off the back of three consecutive wins. The Merseysiders boast four wins and a draw from their last five at Anfield and will fancy their chances against Manchester City given the visitors have lost to Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea recently.
As for Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City side, the away outfit are one place and one point worse off than Liverpool in the league, coming off the back of three wins on the bounce.
