Competition: Premier League
Market: Liverpool to win against Newcastle
Odds: 8/13 @ William Hill

Newcastle United host Liverpool in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon, and will be very wary of their opposition given recent form. The Magpies are currently languishing in the relegation zone this season, while suffering a woeful run of result in recent weeks, and visitors Liverpool will be full of confidence as a result of their recent resurgence.

Coming off the back of consecutive defeats in the Premier League, 19th-placed Newcastle United are in bad shape ahead of this weekend’s outing, and manager Steve McClaren knows his job is on the line as a result. The Magpies have won only two of their 14 games in the division and have the worst defence too. A win could see them claw their way out of the bottom-three, but victories have been few and far between.

Liverpool’s recent form makes matters even harder. The Merseysiders have won three of their last four games in the Premier League, beating sides such as Chelsea, Manchester City and Swansea. Jurgen Klopp’s men have been impressive playing away from home, and are big favourites to earn all three points against Newcastle as a result. Victory for Liverpool could see them level on points with fifth-placed Tottenham, so there’s plenty to play for.

Both sides have their own agendas in the Premier League this season, but the likelihood is Liverpool coming out on top. They have all the momentum and confidence against a Newcastle side struggling at the back, suffering dropped points on a regular basis and big underdogs to pick up a result on Sunday afternoon.
