Spanish newspaper AS has learned that Liverpool have reached an agreement with Celta Vigo to sign striker Iago Aspas.
The same source claims the Reds will pay €9 million for the highly rated forward, with the transfer set to be made official in the coming days.
Aspas is first set to help his current club avoid the drop on the final day of the season before jetting off to England for a medical.
The 25-year-old was followed by a number of high-profile sides, but it appears as though the Anfield outfit eventually won the race for his signature.
Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers was determined to reinforce his attacking department due to the uncertainty surrounding star striker Luis Suarez.
Iago Aspas arrives at Anfield on the back of another impressive season, having scored 12 goals in 33 league appearances for the Sky Blues, following the 23 league goals in the previous campaign.
