The Metro understands that Liverpool and Arsenal are monitoring James Milner’s contract situation closely, with both clubs eyeing a potential free transfer at the end of the season.
The 29 year old is yet to put pen to paper on a new deal with the Premier League champions, meaning that he could walk away from the Etihad Stadium in the summer.
Inter Milan have also been linked with the former Aston Villa man, who has won two league titles, the FA Cup and the League Cup during his time in Manchester so far.
Internationally, he has fifty-three senior caps for England with his one and only goal for his country coming in a 5-0 World Cup qualifying win over Moldova in September 2012.
City host another of Milner’s former employers, Newcastle United, in Saturday’s late kick-off and can be backed at a price of 1/4 to take all three points.
