Liverpool and Bayern Munich have reportedly opened official talks about a potential transfer of Thiago Alcantara from the Allianz Arena to Anfield.
Links between the Premier League champions and the 29-year-old midfielder have been popping up all summer, with some rather contrasting claims from different sources. That still seems to be the case, with German publication Bild claiming the two clubs have opened official line of communication over the matter, while others cast doubt on the truth of such a report.
Liverpool are well-stocked in the midfield section at the moment and some journalists say they have had no desire to make any changes there, but they also left open the possibility of that changing in the coming days.
Be that as it may, Bayern apparently still demand €30 million for Thiago, while Liverpool seem reluctant to pay that much as the player has entered the final year of his contract with the Bundesliga champions.
