Liverpool and Inter Milan battle for David Silva

British media outlet The Sun reports in-form Manchester City midfield maestro David Silva could leave Etihad this winter as contract talks with the Citizens continue.

The 31-year-old is under a deal running until 2019 but the Etihad officials are said to be keen for the Spaniard to pen a 12-month extension to reward him for fine form he’s been displaying this season.

The player himself is said to be keen to extend his stay in Manchester but is not short of options and could be tempted to change his surroundings once the transfer window reopens this winter.

Premier League rivals Liverpool are said to be exploring the possibility to land the creative midfielder as they look set to lose Philippe Coutinho, but Serie A giants Inter Milan have also been credited with an interest in Silva.

Silva made 11 Premier League appearances for City this season during which time he managed one goal and impressive 7 assists.
