Liverpool and Manchester United are interested in signing Rayan Ait-Nouri from Premier League rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers in the January transfer window, according to GiveMeSport. The report has claimed that both the Reds and the Red Devils want a left-back for the second half of the season, and that the two Premier League clubs will try to deal done for Ait-Nouri.
GiveMeSport has claimed that incoming United manager Ruben Amorim “will urgently look to acquire a left-sided wing-back” because he will be “looking to implement the same system he uses at Sporting (Lisbon), resulting in Ait-Nouri emerging as a primary target while Luke Shaw remains on the sidelines through injury.”
Ait-Nouri has been on the books of Wolves on a permanent deal since 2021 following a loan spell from Angers and has established himself as one of the best players for the Wanderers. The Algeria international can operate as a left-back or as a left wing-back. Ait-Nouri has scored eight goals, given six assists and kept 10 clean sheets in 107 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.
