According to The Athletic, the future of Napoli winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is increasingly uncertain, and the situation is being watched closely by Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain, though either club is yet to take concrete steps towards getting a transfer done.
Napoli signed the Georgia international from Dinamo Batumi back in 2022 for around €13.5 million, and his performances in the following season, where Napoli won the Scudetto after 33 years under Luciano Spalletti, propelled his reputation to great heights, with 14 goals and 17 assists in 43 appearances in all competitions. However, Napoli followed up on that success with a 10th-place finish last season, and Kvaratskhelia’s representatives angled for a move to a club playing in the Champions League. But known for his ability to resist all such pressure, Napoli president Aurelio Di Laurentiis refused to do business.
Nonetheless, the 23-year-old hasn’t changed his mind since the summer, despite the club showing great ambition by appointing Antonio Conte to take charge of the team.
In a rather disappointed voice, Conte has confirmed Kvaratskhelia will not be available for selection against Verona on Sunday.
