The Metro is reporting that Aston Villa forward Darren Bent could be set for a shock move away from the club in the January transfer window.
Bent seems to have moved down the pecking order at Villa Park since the arrival of manager Paul Lambert in the summer and has spend a number of games warming the bench as new signing Christian Benteke has been the man to lead the line.
Now it is thought that Villa could be prepared to let the £16 million man leave the Midlandin the New Year.
This news is sure to spark a lot of interest from English Premier League sides as Bent is one of the best finishers in the league.
Liverpool and Queens Park Rangers look to be the early front-runners, with the Reds desperate for more attacking options at the club.
With injuries and allowing players to go on loan, Luis Suarez is the only front-man for Brendan Rodgers to call upon at the moment.
As for QPR, owner Tony Fernandes is said to be an admirer of the England international and believes he would be able to score the goals to keep Rangers in the league.
This is a story to keep an eye on!
