Liverpool back in for Walcott

The Mirror understands that Liverpool are set to reignite their interest in signing Arsenal forward Theo Walcott.

The England international’s future at the Emirates Stadium has been under question in recent months, and he could be set for an exit this summer with the Merseyside outfit leading the chase to secure his services.

Walcott moved to Arsenal from Southampton half way through the 2005/06 campaign and has so far racked up three hundred and forty-three appearances for the Gunners in all competitions, scoring eighty-five goals.

He was part of the squad that won the FA Cup in both 2014 and 2015 while he was an unused substitute in five of Arsenal’s matches on route to the 2006 Champions League final, where they lost to Barcelona.

He has been capped forty-eight times for his country, scoring eight goals but was left out of Roy Hodgson’s squad for this summer’s European Championships.
