Liverpool star Mohamed Salah apologized to the fans of the club for his team failing to qualify for next season’s Champions League.
I’m totally devastated. There’s absolutely no excuse for this. We had everything we needed to make it to next year’s Champions League and we failed. We are Liverpool and qualifying to the competition is the bare minimum. I am sorry but it’s too soon for an uplifting or optimistic… pic.twitter.com/qZmA9WsueM

As might have been expected, there were outlets who used this moment to gain attention with suggestions the Egyptian might seek to leave Anfield to play Champions League football elsewhere, but speaking to the press against the final Premier League round of the season, manager Jurgen Klopp made the situation very clear.
🗣️ “Mo [Salah] loves being here.”
🗣️ “If a player would come to me and say we didn’t qualify for the Champions League, I have to leave, I would drive him to the other club.” 😅
