Spanish daily newspaper Marca has learned that Liverpool are on the verge of signing Spanish full-back Alberto Moreno from Sevilla.
The two clubs seem to have reached an agreement over the transfer fee, with only minor details left to be negotiated.
Sevilla president Pepe Castro and sporting director Monchi are expected to fly to England in the coming days to wrap up the deal.
The Reds were on the lookout for a new left-sided defender who would challenge Jose Enrique for a starting berth and they have managed to secure the signing of one of Europe’s most talented players.
Alberto Moreno, 21, has already made a total of 45 La Liga appearances for los Rojiblancos, scoring 3 goals in the process.
The left-back has earned three Spain caps and was included in Vicente Del Bosque’s provisional squad for the 2014 World Cup, albeit missing out on the place in the final squad.
