Premier League giants Liverpool are readying a fresh assault on Schalke defender Kyriakos Papadopoulos, according to the Daily Mirror.
The Reds boss Brendan Rodgers is a big fan of the Greek centre-back and he is eager to lure him to Anfield in the summer.
Kyriakos is currently on loan with Bayer Leverkusen but with his contract at Schalke expiring at the end of the season, he will be available on a free transfer.
Liverpool have experienced all sorts of problems at the back this season and they believe Papadopoulos can be an answer to their problems.
The 23-year-old recently recovered from a difficult knee injury, and went on to score two goals in 14 Bundesliga appearances for Bayer Leverkusen.
The former Olympiakos starlet now looks set to leave Schalke after a total of five years at Veltins Arena and he should have no shortage of offers in the summer transfer window.
