Liverpool have identified Napoli’s Jorginho as the best option to replace Emre Can who is likely to leave Anfield this summer, and according to the Mirror, they believe they are in a good position to make it happen.
It has been reported that Manchester United and Arsenal are also interested, but the Reds believe that their attacking approach to the game coupled with Champions League football will help them beat off the competition that the two Premier League rivals represent.
Although born in Brazil, Jorginho plays for Italy, and will soon be visiting England when the Azzurri take on Argentina in Manchester and England in London.
Emre Can has recently spoken about “being ready to play at a really big club next season”, sparking belief his decision to leave the Reds this summer as a free player has already been made. But with the arrival of Naby Keita and potentially Jorginho, and the array of midfield options including Jordan Henderson, Georginio Wijnaldum, James Milner, Adam Lallana, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, maybe even Marko Grujić, Liverpool aren’t likely to miss the German international too much.
