According to a recent report from Gazzetta dello Sport, Liverpool are willing to meet the asking price of £42.5million to sign Kalidou Koulibaly.
That price has been put forward by Napoli as a potential route forward for them to finally agree to a sale for Koulibaly. It’s no secret that the defender has been heavily linked with a move away from the Italian club in the past, but this summer really does feel like the time in which he’s going to finally make the leap.
Liverpool have been interested for quite some time now and with Virgil van Dijk hopefully returning in the next few months, they want to find him a consistent and strong centre back partner.
Given what we’ve all seen from Koulibaly in the past it makes sense to think he could be that guy, but competing at the Premier League level is an entirely different ball game.
