Liverpool have been linked with a move for former Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli amid continuing reports that Luis Suarez could be set to leave the club, the Express understands.
The Uruguay international looks likely to join La Liga giants Barcelona despite his latest misdemeanour, and Brendan Rodgers has identified the AC Milan star as the man to fill the void.
Balotelli moved to Serie A eighteen months ago, and has so far scored thirty goals in fifty-four appearances in all competitions while more he recently, he netted the winner as Italy faced England in Manaus last month.
During his time at Manchester City, the 23 year old won both the FA Cup and the Premier League, while he also collected a host of honours during a three year spell with Inter Milan prior to his switch to the English top flight.
North London duo Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are also eyeing a move for the striker, as have Serie A duo Napoli and Fiorentina.
