Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez ha stated that he is not interested in Werder Bremen striker Aaron Hunt, after reports linked the player with a switch to Anfield.
Reports in the German press stated that Hunt, 23, could be set for a move to the Reds in January, but the former Germany Under-21 international is not a target for Benitez, according to the Liverpool Echo.
Hunt’s contract in Bremen runs out next summer and interest in the player has recently increased.
But Benitez is unlikely to do any major deals in the January transfer window.
Hunt is also not a prolific goalscorer, with just 15 goals in 85 appearances for Werder since his debut in 2004, and Benitez could well be looking for a striker with more of a pedigree.
