Liverpool defender Ben Davies doesn’t want Celtic transfer

Liverpool defender Ben Davies does not want to leave Anfield despite interest from Celtic and Bournemouth, according to The Mirror. It has been reported that Scottish Premiership club Celtic and Championship side Bournemouth are keen on signing the former Preston North End defender on a season-long loan deal.

Davies joined Liverpool from Preston in the January transfer window. The 25-year-old had injury problems and did not make a single competitive appearance for the former Premier League champions last season. Bournemouth will be aiming to win promotion to the Premier League next season, while Celtic will be determined to clinch the Scottish Premiership title.

Defender Davies wants to stay at Liverpool and fight for his place in the team. However, it is going to be tough for the 25-year-old. Virgil van Dijk, Joel Matip and Joe Gomez all will be back from injury.
