French publication Le Parisien claim Premier League club Liverpool have emerged as firm favourites to land one of the most lethal striker in Europe, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Borussia Dortmund.
Jurgen Klopp is determined to add a marquee signing this summer and to make a strong statement ahead of his club’s return to the Champions League and the potential arrival of Gabon international would definitely fit the bill.
The 27-year-old Dortmund striker is under contract with Bundesliga giants until 2020, but has already expressed his desire to leave the club this summer.
The likes of Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City were thought to be in the running for Aubameyang, but the player himself never hid his dream club were Real Madrid.
Having realized that his dream might never come true, Aubameyang is reportedly keen to join up with Jurgen Klopp once again as Liverpool prepare a €70 million offer for the scorer of 31 Bundesliga goals in as many games last season.
