Liverpool are interested in signing Atalanta defensive midfielder Teun Koopmeiners, according to TEAMtalk. The report has claimed that Serie A club Atalanta are ready to cash in on Koopmeiners at the end of the season.
Koopmeiners has been on the books of Atalanta since 2021 and is one of the better defensive midfielders in Serie A. The Netherlands international is 25 years of age now and has his best years ahead of him. Koopmeiners has scored three goals and given two assists in 10 Serie A starts and has played four times in the UEFA Europa League this season.
Liverpool are second in the Premier League table at the moment with 27 points from 12 matches, level on points with Arsenal in third and a point behind leaders and defending champions Manchester City. Meanwhile, Atalanta currently find themselves fifth in Serie A with 20 points from 12 matches, a point behind defending champions and fourth-placed Atalanta.
